About

What We're About

Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping others.

Our Mission

A network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.

"Go to the poor, you will find God" - St. Vincent de Paul

Who We Are

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society (SVdP) is an international Catholic service organization whose purpose is to provide spiritual growth to its members through their charitable works. Our volunteers visit those in need in their homes and listen with empathy and compassion. We provide hope, community resource information, financial assistance and follow up support including prayer support as requested. The work of the Society is supported by the generosity of the parishioners of St. Helen's Catholic Church. They contribute to the monthly Black Bag collection to assist their Georgetown neighbors in need.

Who We Serve

Our society serves all who call for assistance regardless of race, creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, criminal justice status, disability, marital status, veteran status, national origin, age or physical handicap.  Please see "Eligibility" on the Services page.
