There are times in our lives when we all go through a rough spot and may need to ask for help. Our ministry's goal is to assist those in need, whether it is due to poverty or just a circumstance such as a job loss. Our goal is to help get our neighbor back on track.

Summer Seasonal Job Fair

The City of Georgetown will be hosting a seasonal hiring event from 2-4 p.m. Monday, March 16 at the Georgetown Recreation Center, 1003 N. Austin Ave. 
The event will feature free snacks, drinks, and giveaways, as well as on-site application, interview and hiring opportunities. 

The Department is hiring:
- lifeguards
- swim instructors
- camp counselors
- tennis camp instructors 

Positions are for people age 15 and older. Pay ranges start at $12.50. Other benefits include flexible schedules, free membership to the recreation and tennis centers, free summer pool passes, paid certifications and growth opportunities. 

Summer jobs like these are great opportunities for teenagers, college students, and anyone looking for a fun way to earn extra money.

SVDP In Action

Every Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Austin, a Central Texas Food Bank partner agency, provides food and essentials to neighbors from across Central Texas. The pantry is open to all, with no ZIP code restrictions.  

St. Vincent de Paul’s Council of Central Texas, which spans 25 counties and includes 41 conferences, including St. Vincent de Paul Georgetown — local parish-based groups that offer direct support throughout the region.
